I began playing guitar in the late 80s and started gigging in the early 90s in an originals band culminating in playing venues such as the Marquee and Rock Garden in London.
Over the years I’ve found myself in many varied playing situations. From acoustic duos to function bands.
My main live outlet for the last 15+ years has been Think Floyd, the UK’s definitive Pink Floyd tribute act, playing over 50 shows year in UK theatres and across Europe including some festivals.
My influences are varied and include: Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jeff Beck, The Police, Led Zeppelin, Free, Steve Hackett, Yes, Joe Satriani, Van Halen, John Schofield, Eric Johnson, Albert Lee, Brad Paisley, Larry Carlton, Rush, John Martyn, Nick Drake, Radiohead, Paul Gilbert, Gary Moore, Camel, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Stevie Wonder, Allan Holdsworth, Deep Purple, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Brian Setzer and Miles Davis. To name but a few.
I can teach guitar in a wide range of styles from classic rock and blues, to modern rock and metal to acoustic finger style and country to contemporary pop, funk and classical.
It is my aim for my students to become as rounded and confident a musician and guitarist as possible.
